Duties:

Manage Quality Control department.

Manage Quality Budget.

Directs Quality Engineer activities.

This job position requires compliance with ITAR Regulations. Therefore, all employees working in this capacity must meet citizenship status.  Per the CVI Melles Griot Export Controls Policy and Procedure, the employee must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.

Establishes and maintains quality standards for all areas.

Ensures customer requirements are met.

Evaluates customer quality issues.

Oversees production schedules for area.

Oversees the ISO process and maintenance of the ISO program.

Evaluates customer returns and makes decisions regarding process of correction.

Implements quality procedures to minimize reject rate.

Investigates problems pertaining to the quality of optics and makes corrective recommendations to appropriate departments.

Enforces and actively and openly supports the policies and procedures of CVI.

Qualified Candidates will posses:

BS in optics, physics or related field or equivalent in optics quality experience

Four or more years quality management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in optics

Certificate courses in related areas such as Statistics; ISO 9000, Certified ASQC member, etc. is a plus
