Duties:

This position will provide program management of development projects, product definition and product positioning.  The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of material processing, bio-tech research, semiconductor, photonics, remote sensing, and defense related photonics applications.   This position will develops strategies and marketing goals for the product group.  The candidate must have the ability to work with overseas factories to reconcile product lines, manage costs, and identify best supply chain partners.   Further, the candidate will participate in pricing, advertising, and other marketing decisions.   The candidate will monitor profitability, market penetration, and achievement of other product goals.   Additionally, the candidate will determine profitable opportunities for the product group, and keeps informed of current developments.  The product line for this position includes:  opto-mechanical, instruments, interferometry products, and lab accessories.

Skills Required:

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree preferably in a field relating to optics.   Five to ten years experience in one of the following industries: Optics, Physics, Mechanics or related field.  Experience in material processing, bio-tech research, semiconductor, photonics, and/or defense related photonics applications required.  Candidate will also have experienced in contract negotiation, supplier identification, and opto-mechanical aptitude.
